Card scale: 1 verst in inch (or in 1 cm - 420 m). Trigonometrical and survey St. Petersburg was begun in 1820 F. F. Schubert made in 1820 in major generals, and a bit later and the director of again approved Case of topographers was appointed which chief. Till 1826 field works were performed by general-staff officers, and from 1827 to 1831 exclusively officers of the Case of topographers. F. F.
