Note: "Spark" - Russian and Soviet political and the literary and art illustrated weekly. In 1974 circulation made 2 million. It is awarded by the Order of Lenin (1973). Since 1923 leaves in Moscow. "Spark" leaves not since April 1, 1923 and even not since December, 1899, and since 1879. But, having existed only four years, the magazine was for the first time closed during reforms in 1883, renewed in 1899 as the annex to "Exchange sheets". In imperial time almost all place in the magazine was taken by art stories and photos. It is repeatedly closed in 1918 as the anti-Soviet edition, release is resumed at the initiative of M. Koltsov in 1923. Till 1940 - there were 36 numbers a year, since 1940 - the weekly. In 1925 — 1991 there were art and publicistic brochures in the Ogonyok Library series. In Soviet period the magazine was issued Pravda publishing house, in which as the annex to the magazine since 1946, also there was "a Library of "Spark"" - collected works of domestic and foreign classics. In 1990 the labor collective of "Spark" led by Vladimir Vigilyansky (the chairman of the board of labor collective) and Vitaly Korotich became the founder of the magazine which was earlier belonging to Pravda CPSU Central Committee publishing house. In the next years the magazine was incorporated and repeatedly changed owners.
